Pamela D. Buck is a candidate for the Maine House of Representatives for the City of Sanford District 18. Currently, she is employed at the non-profit York County Shelter Programs Inc. as the Human Resource Coordinator & V.
Pam wants to be "The Voice for the Working People." Her goals include to strengthen and provide education, technical training and job readiness opportunities to all Maine communities. By bringing her background in Maine Town Government together with her employment & job development experiences at the Maine Career Center & Job Corps Center, she has already placed individuals with different disabilities and diverse backgrounds into the Maine workforce. Still very active in the workforce, currently employed at York County Shelter Programs Inc. she understands the need for decent paying jobs with benefits and job security for all age groups. Advocating for better jobs requires more economic diversity and growth. Maine needs to find long-term solutions to opening more doors to job creation so generates to come can follow. She believes anyone that wants to maintain self-sufficiency and long-term employment should have options to do so and she is here to advocate as the voice of the Working people of Maine.
Pam has been married for over 33 years to her husband Steven Buck, City Manager of Sanford. Her educational background and long-time careers have been within the surrounding Maine communities. She is a graduate from Stearns High School in Millinocket, has a BA in Business from University of Maine and in 2013 she obtained her MBA from Husson University. She is the proud parent of two daughters, Erin and Regan Buck, and has two grand-dogs to date.
